Hi, I’m Steph, the artist behind Stephanie Anne Studio in Melbourne. I work mostly in oils and coloured pencil, with gouache, ink and digital along the way. Flowers, snakes, birds and wildlife become bold, slightly surreal pieces that sit somewhere between realism and imagination.

I love the challenge of texture: the shine of a snake’s scales, the softness of leopard fur, the folds of a petal. My work is shaped by family life, as I make art alongside being a mum, and by a deep love of nature.
